Hey All~  A friend of mine and a former student and grauate of the Leon Co. Extension Office 2012 Permaculture Design Course (which I helped to teach) has started this meet-up for the North Florida Region. 

 

The calendar will give you information on what is happening here as regards Permaculture, but also this merges with other efforts such as those interested in Transition Towns, Sustainability, Community Gardens, and the like. 

 

We all can learn from each other, and if we continue to connect and talk and teach our communities will be all the better for it. 

 

Please consider joining the Meet-up, or at the very least keeping the website at your fingertips so that you can know what is going on in this area. 

 

It would be great to have all the community gardens and such linked in.  Maybe more folks will come to help!

 

A new 2013 Permaculture Design Course is being offered by the Leon Co. Extension Office starting this month.  Check it out!  It is an incredible deal and you will learn so much!

 

January 16th an introduction to permaculture, "What is Permaculture?" evening event will be hosted by the Leon Co. Extension Office.  Check it out and sign up for it if you are interested!

HEy all Happy New Year and I hope any and all will use this site to post and share info. The more people from the whole region that can access info on what is happening the better. My partner and I have traveled over 2 hours sometimes to participate in different things and have not yet been disappointed or felt we wasted time in doing so.  We wish there was more closer all the time and hopefully over time that will happen but for now we travel to learn and to socialize with like minded people.  The only thing we are missing is how to find all these great offerings in one place.   Things like Bio Char stuff around the Tally area, gardening classes in Crawfordsville,  Bamboo day course in Gainesville, bee classes, goat cheese making etc. There is cool stuff all over to share. This site is set for anyone that is a member of the site to post meetings or learning opportunities and POTLUCKS! . It is not restricted in any way to keep anyone from posting meetings and classes.  Hey there is a suture class by Dr Bones and the Patriot Nurse in Perry this weekend!! Who would have known that? and yet there are a number of us going to learn and to be with each other.  Friendships made and community built through learning.   The meetup will be funded by myself and my partner with no sponsors.
