SUNDAY FEBRUARY 19 at ALFRED B. MACLAY GARDENS STATE PARK

8am to 2pm

We will split into 4 groups and count birds between 830am and 1230pm. After the count we will flock to the Recreation Area and have a potluck lunch at the large picnic pavilion. I have reserved the pavilion until 2pm.

I am still looking for at least 2 more volunteers to bring hot food. I suggest crock pot style as there are electrical outlets available at the picnic pavilion for us to use. I will be supplying dishware, utensils, cups and a few drinks. I also need other folks to chip in and bring dessert, sides and/or snacks. If you are going to bring something and show off your mad cooking skillz then please let me know so I have an idea of what we will have in order to prevent mass duplication! 15 bags of chips might be a bit overkill, even if they are the deliciously moreish Cape Cod ones!

There is an entrance fee into the park of $6 per vehicle. Free to state park pass holders.

Registration is not required. The more the merrier. Members and non-members are welcome. Kid's especially welcome as I hope to have a kids group count in one area.

I am looking for 3 leaders to lead 3 of the 4 groups, so please step forward and don't be shy.

hope to see you there, it's gonna be a fun day

Cheers

Andy
