Dear Apalachee Audubon friends:

Helen King, Field Trip Director

Buff Titlow, President

The Orange Audubon Society is leading a weekend trip to the Panhandle, which includes a private tour of Seacrest Wolf Preserve in Chipley, Florida and we thought your members might have an interest.  Would you share this field trip opportunity with your members, in your newsletter or other communication?  We have two more blurbs we would like to share in December: the Birdapalooza Birding Festival, January 20th-22nd and Flamingo Quest II, April 22nd.

Orange Audubon will be happy to share key events from your chapter that you want advertised to our membership (that you need additional participants for) in our newsletter (short blurbs with links for more info), like the Oklawaha Valley Audubon Society’s Gainesville trip short blurb that will go in the December OASis.

Thanks in advance! Blurb below.

Teresa

North Florida Birding and Botany Field Trips and Wolf Encounter

December 9‒11, 2016 at Tall Timbers Research Station (TTRS), Tallahassee. This one is coming up quickly but there are still spaces. Orange Audubon would love you to join us on a weekend trip to the Florida Panhandle’s Red Hills area, called one of America’s “last great places” by The Nature Conservancy, hosted by TTRS’ vertebrate ecology program director Jim Cox. The weekend includes 4 birding/botany field trips, other natural history activities and a private, hands-on tour at Seacrest Wolf Preserve near Chipley. Early Bird Registration for the entire weekend including guides, field trip fees, park entry fees, 3 lunches and dinner Saturday is just $80 for Audubon members/$95 non-members. You can also pay a partial fee for the Seacrest-only private tour or the birding/botany-only portion. A full description of the events and pricing can be found on Meetup, in the Orange Audubon Society November newsletter, or by contacting Teresa Williams for more information, including lodging options, and to reserve field trip spots: (407) 644-0796 or mwil...@cfl.rr.com
