Happy New Year and Good Birding!!
Sat. Jan. 14-St. Mark's National Wildlife Refuge Tram Ride
Those of us who attended December's tram ride had such a great time and saw so many thousands of birds, that it is worth repeating during duck season. The infamous Don Morrow will be leading the group. Meet at the Visitor Center parking lot at 8:45 a.m. You will need to call the Refuge at 925-6161 to reserve your spot on the tram. The ride begins at 9 a.m.
Fri. Jan 27- Lake Jackson Landings
Meet at 8 a.m. at Rhoden Cove Landing off Meridian Rd. We will be visiting Miller Landing, Lake Carr landing, and if time permits Orchard Pond Parkway's new trail. We will be carpooling, so please indicate if you are a willing driver.
Sat. Feb. 4- Wakulla Beach Rd.
Meet at 8 a.m. at the St. Mark's Rails to Trails main parking lot on Woodville Highway. We will be carpooling, so please indicate if you are a willing driver.
Fri. Feb 24- Tall Timbers Research Station
Jim Cox has graciously agreed to lead this trip into some fantastic birding habitat. Meet at the Henry Beadel House parking lot at Tall Timbers, off Thomasville Rd., at 8 a.m. There will be some walking involved.
