Late arrivals on Friday?

I am arriving pretty late on Friday (23:20, so this is probably 0:30
out of the airport)... Still thinking whether to (1) get a hotel in
Dublin for 1 night, (2) take a taxi (will it even go out of town?),
(3) rent a car (Friday night, tired, driving on the wrong side of the
road, unclear whether car rental is still open).

Anyone else is coming at ~same time? Then I'd go with (2) or more
likely (3) and share a ride (and add it to the Wiki).

You could try ringing round airport transfer taxis for a quote? You'll
probably be too late for the bart, and alas everyone who might've
collected you from the bart is likely to have been in the pub for some
time by then!

Not sure how much luck you'd have with getting into the centre of dublin
at 1am (aircoach might do it, dublin bus probably won't), so maybe a hotel
near the airport would be the best bet, assuming you can't get a sensible
quote from a taxi/transfer firm?

there is a 24hr air coach that leaves the ariport it's the "blue" bus that runs 24/7

I'll be driving down early Saturday morning if anyone needs a lift and I also live very close to the airport

Thanks for the advise Nick and Laura.

It took a while for my original message to get moderated through, so
in the meantime I made a reservation for a rental car with Herz (and
now hoping my flight is on time before they close the office). So now
I put myself on the lift share wiki and can give a lift to others
