to AP Psychology P4
I decided to take AP Psychology due to my never ending curiosity about
the human mind, body, and actions which affect our everyday lives.
With an early exposure to psychology from my mother, a
Psychotherapist, and a sister and friends who had taken the course, I
had an onset inquisitiveness to learn what it was all about. Hearing
friends and family discuss psychological terms and ideas provoked me
to find the meaning in both their fancy jargon and the minds of those
around me. My personal goals for this semester are to completely
understand every topic we cover and to be able to recognize them in my
everyday life. The summer reading was a great way of showing what this
course expected; making me pre-prepare understandings of concepts etc,
which is what life is all about. I hope to learn whether or not I have
the capabilities to keep my motivation strong when things become
strenuously difficult, muddled, or plainly uninteresting. However some
personal worries are relieved as I know now psychology is very
interesting. In my college career I plan on majoring in some form of
doctorate program. I know that this course is a great way to build a
foundation of knowledge that will be useful in the future so I am more
than ecstatic for the year ahead.
