Main Idea: Bees are getting all the attention, but bats are equally deserving of our sympathy

Main Idea (own words): Bats are suffering just as much as bees, but these creatures don't get enough credit.

Response: Bats are beautiful and misunderstood creatures. Bees and bats are very similar, yet one is put higher then another. The recent loss of bees due to CCD or Colony Collapse Disorder has made many people worried. And for good reason. Bees are a very big part of our ecosystem. They pollinate our plants, which create the air we breath. They help to bring color into our world. But the are overshadowing another majestic pollinator, the bat. As the author says "Bats, to put it bluntly, are simply too cool to die."   Bats are everywhere, literally they are all across the globe. And though many first think of blood drinking bats, many bats eat insects that help many. Bats are currently suffering from WNS of White Nose Syndrom. Its a sad fact, and one that should not be taken lightly. Many researchers are studying CCD for bees. I believe they should also be studying WNS for bats.
