The qualifying campaign restarts after the summer break and we look ahead to these two games hoping to get some more points on the board. 

Here's some information which we hope you'll find useful. Please share it with your mates, tag them in the comments etc. and help us to get this info to as many Northern Ireland fans as possible.

𝗢𝗡 𝗔𝗥𝗥𝗜𝗩𝗔𝗟 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗚𝗘𝗧𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗔𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗗

If you haven't already organised your transfer from the airport in Ljubljana, your options on arrival are to request a private transfer at one of the desks in the arrivals hall, take a taxi or a bus. 

The bus stop is a very short walk from the terminal building. 

Buses leave between 5am and 8pm, roughly on the hour and the journey takes 50 minutes. 

There are also buses at 10:35, 11:35, 2:35, 3:35, 5:35, 6:35 which take 30 minutes, with less stops. 

Tickets cost €3.70 for adults, (a group rate of €2.96 for five or more is available) one way and can be bought via a link on the Ljubljana airport site.

There's a taxi rank just to the right of the exit of the building. 

Taxis cost around €30-40 and it takes up to 30 minutes to get to the city centre, depending on traffic. 

Taxis cost less if pre booked. Remember to agree the fare before your journey and that the metre is switched on. 

If driving in Slovenia, make sure your car has the required vignette/permit to prevent a fine. This is operated by e-vignette system. Read more here:

Cross the road at the crossings. Heavy fines can be issued for jaywalking! 

You can use a contactless ‘Urbana’ card for buses in Ljubljana. They cost €2 and are available from newsagents, post offices and street kiosks. A €1.30 credit covers you for unlimited use for 90 minutes.  

You can return the card to the Tourist Information Office and redeem your €2. 

𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗗𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 🍻🍔🍝 

The main area of the city to visit is known as ‘The Three Bridges’. This is a pedestrianised area with numerous bars and restaurants either side of the river, almost all have outdoor and indoor seating. 

We've been warned that pick pocketing is a problem, especially in busy public places, so keep your wits about you and be wise to anyone trying to distract you. 

Beers are around €3.50 upwards for a half litre up to around €9 for 1.2 litres. Imported beers cost around €1 more. 

You can eat for as little as €7 for pizza, or €12 for something more substantial. 

Lunch is considered the main meal of the day in Slovenia, so menus will reflect this in a lot of restaurants. We had veal and potatoes, which cost €9. 

𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗖𝗛𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗚𝗘𝗧𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗢 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗗𝗜𝗨𝗠 🚍  

On matchday, the Slovenian police are happy for Northern Ireland fans to socialise in the city and drinking on the street is permitted. 

We've worked with the authorities to organise a free shuttle service from the city centre to the stadium and back. These leave at 6:15pm, 7pm and 8pm from a stop beside 'Kongresni Trg' (see image in the post). 

The drop off point is about five minutes walk from the stadium entrance and the later departure journeys take longer. 

We're told that the buses back to the city centre will depart at around 11pm. 

If you want to make your own way to the stadium, then bus journeys (using Line No.20) are free with your match ticket for 3 hours before and 3 hours after the match. 

There's a ‘Fanzone’ operating outside the stadium from 4:45 until 7:45, so heading up earlier rather than the later buses might be a good idea. 

We'd remind everyone using the shuttle buses to behave appropriately. Any inappropriate behaviour may prevent us asking for these sort of initiatives in the future. 

𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗗𝗜𝗨𝗠 𝗔𝗡𝗗 

𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗗𝗘 𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 🏟 

Northern Ireland fans will enter via Entrance AD, which is about five minutes walk from the bus stop. 

There's a storage area for larger bags, ask a steward to direct you. This is not at our sector of the stadium. 

Tickets will be scanned. A digital or printed copy will be accepted but make sure your phone has plenty of battery, brightness is turned up and that the screen isn't damaged! 

As you can see from the photos, there are quite a few steps leading down into and also inside our sector. Please be careful and if you see someone who may be 'a bit unsteady', then give them a hand. 

Kiosks and toilets are available inside our sector. Alcohol is on sale and the stadium is cashless. 

There's plenty of space inside our sector for flags to be hung. We're waiting for confirmation from the Slovenians regarding timings.
