The Hellenic (Greek) Football Federation has today confirmed that the match with Northern Ireland on 27th September will be played at the Georgios Kamaras Stadium in 𝗔𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗡𝗦.

The Amalgamation has been working closely with the Irish FA for several weeks on this since the Greeks announced their intention to play the match in Volos.

UEFA were also involved in a number of conversations and thankfully the Greek Federation agreed to look at an alternative match venue, which the vast majority of travelling Northern Ireland fans will welcome. 

There is always an element of risk when booking travel for away fixtures before the venue is officially confirmed, however we appreciate that the Greek Federation were open to a conversation and agreed to reconsider their original decision. 

We also appreciate that people have been very anxious to find out the match venue, as have we, however we were asked to respect the fact that the discussions were being held privately and felt it was important not to put at risk the positive outcome we now have.
