After our meeting with the Swiss police and the Irish FA Security Officer in Geneva yesterday afternoon, it is now recommended that Northern Ireland fans should travel to the Stade de Genรจve ๐๐ฌ ๐ง๐ฅ๐๐๐ก.
You should take the train from the main station (Gare Cornavin). There's a service at 19.17, going directly to the ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ๐-๐๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ต๐ฒ๐ stop, which is one of the nearest to the stadium.ย
Trains services run frequently to Annemasse/Geneve Aeroport, which also pass through this station. The journey takes less than ten minutes.ย
After you disembark, there's a set of steps that you need to go up (fans who require ease of access may wish to use the lift). There is then a walkway, follow this before bearing left and this will lead you to the entrance to the away sector.
Stadium Entry Requirement Checks
The police have advised us that these checks will happen in the city as well as at the stadium to reduce queuing times.
There are likely to be checks at the Gare Cornavin station. Once you've provided proof, you'll be issued with a wristband. Remember your ID!
There are plenty of pubs and places to eat within walking distance of the main Gare Cornavin station, and the police are happy for Northern Ireland fans to socialise in the area.
The Swiss FA has also confirmed that a kiosk will be open for Northern Ireland fans in the away sector.
