Fan Update for Autumn Fixtures
Covid-19 restrictions have caused massive disruption to football fans and other travellers. It is unclear how long these restrictions will remain in place and they will vary from country to country. The Amalgamation of Official NISC continues to speak to the Irish FA and Football Supporters Europe, who communicate directly with UEFA, to receive the latest and most reliable updates. Involvement in the FSE network also allows us to hear from supporters’ groups from across Europe about what their FAs are saying to them.
it's important to remember that these International fixtures are governed by UEFA. Stadium entrance is only with the consent of UEFA, even if the local government are allowing spectators at sporting events in their respective countries. At present the UEFA stance is that no fans can attend their games until further notice.
We expect that UEFA will provide clarification about the Nations League games after the UEFA Executive Committee meets during the week beginning 10th August. Until then, the attached PDF document contains the best advice and information that we can provide at this time.
We’ve also been working with the Consumer Council and monitoring the travel advice that has been shared by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and include that information. We hope that this is helpful to our fellow Northern Ireland fans. Please feel free to share this document with other fans.
