Helsinki has excellent transport links between the airport and the city, and the various options are well signposted.
Bus route 600 runs throughout the day and night, and the journey takes around 50 minutes. The bus leaves from just outside the terminal building.ย
The train also operates most of the day and night and takes 40-50 minutes.ย
A multi-journey ticket starts at โฌ9 for one day. A four day ticket is โฌ22.50 and can be used on the bus, train, and tram.
Tickets are available from the machines inside and outside the terminal.ย
Visit
hsl.fi for information on tickets. You can also access their app and pay for tickets and passes there too.
There's a taxi rank to the left exit. The fare is โฌ35 one way, which isn't bad if there's a group of you.ย

The main station is in the Kluuvi area of the city. If you were in Finland in 2015, this is beside the square where Northern Ireland fans gathered before the match.ย
There are lots of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance of here.
Helsinki is an expensive city, as we know!ย
Beers are โฌ8+ but a couple of places will offer discounts, with the Old Irish Pub and Aussie Bar both making an effort to attract Northern Ireland fans.ย
Supermarkets are cheaper, with beers starting at around โฌ2.50.
Evening meals are upwards of โฌ20, but the usual fast food outlets range from โฌ10-15 and there are a couple of decent pizzerias where you can eat for around that price too.

With very cold weather expected and lower numbers travelling than last time, the police are recommending that we use the trams to get to the stadium.ย
Trams 2, 4 and 10 will get you to the Olympic Stadium. You'll need a ticket for this, but the multi journey pass will cover you.
Disembark at Tรถรถlรถn Kisahalli/Tรถรถlรถn halli (Tรถรถlรถ Sports Hall) and the Olympic Stadium is a few minutes' walk from here. Look out for the 'Prisma' store just before the stop.

Kick off is 7pm. Northern Ireland fans will be in Sector B and gates open at 5:30pm.ย
Flags can be hung then, and there's plenty of space available.ย
It's been clarified that our sector is covered, but it's going to be very cold, so be sensible and get wrapped up.ย
There's a storage area for larger bags outside our sector, ask a steward to direct you on arrival at the stadium. There's a โฌ3 charge per bag.ย
Tickets will be scanned. A digital or printed copy will be accepted, but make sure your phone has plenty of battery, brightness is turned up, and that the screen isn't damaged!ย
Kiosks and toilets are available inside our sector. Food and drink, including alcohol is on sale, and both cash and card are accepted.ย
