Multiple AOL sessions behind a NAT?

We have a classroom where we want to teach AOL using individual logins to
AOL.

The Windows98 PCs along with other machines in the building are connected to
the net via a NAT- a Netgear RT311.

Early in the morning we can get at least eight logins to AOL but once people
are working at other PCs we have difficulty getting even one - the session
stops at 'Step 2 -getting tcpip connection' essentially forever.

Since it is connected via a NAT, there is only one IP number (but many port
numbers) that AOL will see (americaonline.aol.com (?)).

Has anyone else any experience in doing this? Any problems?

Any idea if AOL does allow mutliple sessions with different logins but one
IP number?

Is it a port limit problem?

Ideas, comments welcome!

thanks

You have to be serious. You want to teach how to use AOL?

This is part of a program of computer literacy for Seniors ( some well over
90!).

Unfortunately, there are a lot of Seniors who have AOL and don't know how to
use it.

Our job is to help them become computer literate, not force them into a
'better' solution.

then you answered your question here, I think.

Heard of it. You can have it go thru a diff route in your compnay, if
you can chance the port limit, and possibly have some people dial in,
and then choose to hook up thru aol. AOL was going to allow
multi-logins at one time, but I'm not sure they ever succeeded in
implementing it.

Install Earthlink, and then this problem will disappear.
