Hi,

I have been having a problem with AOL Instant Messenger (at random)
where my BuddyList disappears (i.e. it's as if someone had just
installed the program). Im getting sick and tired of reentering all of
the people on my list. Does anyone know if ths is a common problem or
how to fix it?

I use AOL 3.0 ... It was working fine until the other day when the list
went blank again. This has happened on and off for about a month now.

Any feedback anyone can provide would be a big plus. I also have Yahoo
Messenger installed on the machine, and that program has never given me
ANY problems.

I've never seen that reported before. You may want to remove the
program and reinstall, it could be corrupted.

You can also export your Buddy List as a text file, so that if it
*does* get wiped out, it's a simple matter to reimport it.

I thought you said you were using AIM. Which is it?

Followups to alt.online-service.america-online, the newsgroups you
posted to are invalid.

Well hey what can I say from a company like AOL. Their is buggy as shit. It
takes up way too much overhead to run. Its bad enough that we are somewhat
forced into using Microsoft's crappy software.
