Looking for Storage Engineer
Location: McLean,VA
Duration: 6 months+
Visa : NO H1b

this is a Senior Storage Administrator role in the area of Backup and Archive, requiring 7+ years of prior corporate experience, preferably in financial industry.
The hired candidate will work with the team in other areas as well, namely SAN and NAS Storage.
Responsibilities Include:
*Provide senior level expertise on Data Storage Backup and Archive areas
* Day-to-day production support in SAN & NAS Storage and Backup & Archive areas in a distributed data center environment meeting the operational SLAs
* Participate in off-hour and week-end on-call rota, planned maintenance work and deployments with the peer team members and vendors
* Comply with policies, best practices, and standards of operations internal to the team and to the Storage industry
* Maintain procedural documentation and training for intra-team and inter-team usage
* Participation in Backup and Archive Data Storage replication and Disaster Recovery implementation and DR test preparation and execution
* Manage and comply with life cycle management on on-site and off-site enterprise data storage media
* Ensure record keeping and play the role of point person for the team in internal audits on Backup and Archive Data Storage

Solid understanding on
- AIX, Linux, Solaris, and Windows Operating systems on physical and ESX virtual environments,
- Oracle, Sybase, SQL, DB2 databases,
- TCP/IP Networking
- Veritas and native UNIX and Windows LVM software
- PowerPath and native UNIX and Windows multi-path software
- ESX VMware SRM Integration with EMC SRDF, RPA solutions
- MSCS, HACMP, and VCS clustering solutions

Need to be able to collaborate with multiple teams within and outside vendor organizations communicating effectively and delivering expectations timely.


Requirement:
- B.S Degree in Computer Science or in a related field
- 7+ years of industry experience
