Overall Experience:
4 - 5 years experience in a CM environment using ClearCase as CM tool. The
experience must include open system ClearCase architecture and
cross-platform (NT-UNIX).
Non-technical Skills:
a.. Excellent communication skills - personal, e-mail, meetings etc.
b.. Excellent relationship building skills.
c.. Patience and eagerness to provide support.
Technical skills: Candidates must have advanced knowledge in the following
areas -
a.. Thorough grounding in standard CM industry practices.
b.. Thorough grounding and experience in process quality management and
improvement (i.e. SEI CMM, TQM, ISO, etc.)
c.. Understand Perl scripting language.
d.. ClearCase-based CM in software development environment, including:
e.. Understand config_spec rules for dynamic and snapshot views.
f.. Understand all meta-data types, creating and manipulating meta-data
types - branch, label, attribute and hyperlink.
g.. Understand automation of software builds and insulation against
environment variables.
h.. Understand use of preop and postop triggers to support CM policy
i.. Integrating ClearCase with other COTS tools
j.. Use of ClearCase in a UNIX/Windows environment. This includes
knowledge on region synchronization, permissions issues in a mixed mode
environment, management of text file modes, SAMBA or NFS Maestro
interoperability
Candidate must have basic knowledge in the following areas -
a.. Understand UNIX Korn shell commands and their options (ex. ls, chdir,
chmod, find, finger, grep, id, groups, cp, cpio, etc.)
b.. Understand 4GL tool mechanics and interface technology
