Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
QA Test Lead for an Oracle 8i-based system. Lead/manage the system testing
relationship. Must be able to lead and enhance established test processes
and methodologies.
a.. Continue to build on relationships established with the primary
Development Group.
b.. Analyze system documentation, i.e. Use Cases, Requirements, User
Interface Specifications, etc.
c.. Develop and implement various Test Plans including system, integrated,
regression and fail over.
d.. Work with Developers and Requirements Analysts to define test
scenarios and ensure that test requirements are correct and complete.
e.. Develop Requirements Traceability Matrix. Identify test data
requirements and establish test data repositories to thoroughly test program
logic and verify system flows.
f.. Work with Configuration and Environment management resources to verify
preparedness of QA/Test environment.
g.. Plan, develop and execute manual and automated test cases using
Mercury Interactive's TestDirector tool.
h.. Identify opportunities to leverage automated test execution in GUI and
Oracle environments.
i.. Develop and execute automated test scripts using Mercury Interactive's
WinRunner, and/or LoadRunner tools.
j.. Log, track, and report progress of all tests.
k.. Manage Defect Reporting process using Rational's ClearQuest tool.
l.. Document and report defects within established process and tracking
systems.
m.. Collaborate with Developers as needed to isolate root cause of
defects.
Reporting -
a.. Prepare and deliver Master Test Plans, test status reports during test
execution and final Test Reports.
b.. Participate and report statuses in all test-related project team
meetings.
Team Support -
a.. Contribute whenever possible to process improvement initiatives and
share insights with team.
b.. Collaborate and/or review testing materials prepared by other Test
Specialists, when requested.
c.. Collaborate with Test Automation Specialists in developing automation
suites to support long-term automation.
