DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the VP of Business Development, this person will be responsible for the creation of business opportunities for the company and its subsidiaries through the facilitation of partnering, licensing, customer development, infrastructure implementation and acquisition initiatives. Specific deliverables associated with the position include: 刪 The development and maintenance of on-going relationships and information pipelines with key individuals, companies, committees and organizations working with advanced integrated circuit technologies focusing on wireless, networking and satellite/microwave communication applications. 刪 The proactive investigation of emerging technology leading to the identification of partnering, licensing and acquisition opportunities. 刪 The creation and presentation of market estimates, case models and business plans illustrating the value proposition associated with partnering, licensing and acquisition opportunities. 刪 Administration and management of the company''s Down Select process, resulting in the evaluation and selection of ¨silver bullet〃 business opportunities. 刪 Leading the creation and launch of new businesses within the Enterprise Factory, providing guidance, direction and hands-on expertise in the area of Strategic Marketing and Business Development. These activities may also include the definition and implementation of required systems and information management infrastructure.
REQUIREMENTS
Professional Requirements: Minimum of 6 years of industry practicing engineer experience involving Strategic Marketing or Business/Market Development in the Wireless, Networking or general Communications sector of the Integrated Circuit industry. Experience working in or with the Integrated Wireless, Satellite or Networking Systems sector is strongly desired. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain cooperative one-on-one relationships with executives and technologists working in Academic and Industrial environments/sectors. Demonstrated ability to identify, analyze and evaluate the value proposition associated with core technology and its applications, as well as partnering, licensing and acquisition opportunities.
Educational Requirements: Bachelorˇs degree in Electrical Engineering or an applicable field of Science. An advanced technical degree is desired. Masters degree in Business Administration or an applicable field of Finance or Marketing.
