Position: Sr. Recruiter
Location: Irving, TX
Duration: 6 months (possible temp to hire)
Summary
* Administers recruiting, staffing and placement activities to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as statues governing federal and state employment law
Key Roles & Responsibilities Other duties may be assigned. Directly or through others, the incumbent will:
* Consults with hiring managers to determine staffing requirements and ascertain/clarify job requirements to influence hiring strategy.
* Develops proactive recruitment strategies to achieve required staffing levels for future hiring needs.
* Develops and utilizes multiple recruiting channels to generate qualified candidates, including:
o Colleges, universities, community and professional organizations/associations and female and minority organizations/associations
* Effectively pre-screens candidates to determine qualifications based on job requirements.
* Sells qualified candidates on the benefits of joining the company, the position and our culture.
* Provides advice, guidance, and training to hiring managers regarding recruiting, interviewing, screening, assessment and selection techniques, and ensures the interview process is facilitated and closed effectively.
* Ensures all employment practices are in compliance with equal employment opportunity, affirmative action and employment laws.
* Maintains records of applicants, offers, new hires, promotions, and transfers as required for reporting purposes.
* Keeps abreast of current and evolving employment laws and activities of competitors that could impact local recruiting efforts.

Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements
* 5+ years' of recruiting experience.
* Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years' recruiting experience.
* CIR and ACIR Certification, preferred.
* Excellent knowledge of recruiting passive candidates and utilizing various sources.
* Proficiency searching Internet web sites for qualified candidates.
* Strong knowledge of employment laws.
* Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with employment agencies and minority/female organizations.
* Good experience with MS Office applications.
* Energy Industry knowledge.
* Experience with recruiting software.
* Communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external personnel, both verbally and in writing.
* Read, comprehend, and interpret company policies and procedures, employment laws, and general business documents.
* Effectively present information and respond to questions from individuals or groups.
* Work and promote cooperation in a cross-functional or collaborative environment.
* Manage multiple priorities and projects, simultaneously.
* Occasional long, irregular hours.
* Use of a PC, computer terminal and/or telephone less than 6 hours a day.
* Frequent travel between company facilities; occasional overnight travel.
