Job Title: Java/J2EE Developer
Location: Atlanta, GA
Duration: Long Term Contract
Job Description:
• Java including J2EE technologies such as JSP, AngularJS, Node js, JNDI, Cloud(AWS), and AWS Services
• Application servers: Websphere, Weblogic, Tomcat, JBOSS
• Databases: DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, Aurora
• Development Tools: Apache Ant, Maven, Junit, Eclipse, Subversion, Jenkins, Docker, Gradle
• Middleware and integration technologies such as SOAP/HTTP, RESTful, WebsphereMQ, SOA, AquaLogic (Oracle Service Bus)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and proven ability to deliver without direct supervision. The individual should have strong technical problem solving, analysis, design & solutioning skills.
• Ability to travel and to work remotely in a vendor environment or client sites and ability to work in a virtual team environment
Desired Skills: Experience working within the insurance sector and with large-scale software technical implementations is a distinct advantage
Job Roles / Responsibilities:
The role of the Technical Consultant is involved in all aspects of the Agile project implementation including:
• System integration, system technical configuration, and custom java development
• Scoping Studies, PI Planning, Sprint Planning and Backlog Grooming and providing input to the combined project team on performance, scalability and security, modularity, interoperability and upgradability
• Input into the selection of the appropriate technologies (languages, middleware, cloud services, etc.) for the solution
• Support the deployment team that releases the FINEOS solutions into the Cloud and help with troubleshooting where necessary
• Input into estimation, planning, and tracking of all technical aspects of a solution and Feature List backlog
Work closely with the wider implementation team to plan and track any requirements handover and ensure proper standards and client needs are met
