expertise, we are currently seeking the best and brightest candidates in the Surveying Industry
(accepting resumes for RPLS, Party Chiefs, Instrument Techs and CAD Operators). This rare
opportunity will allow qualified candidates to assume a pivotal role in the expansion of one of the
company’s newest divisions. With an immediate need for all surveying positions, we are looking to
hire highly-qualified, management-capable, Registered Professional Land Surveyors (RPLS) to be an
integral part of this initiative.
Specifically, we are seeking highly-motivated, professional individuals with excellent
organizational, computer, writing and mathematical skills. The ideal Registered Professional Land
Surveyors will have a work ethic we can model our division around and should have at least five
years of experience, preferably in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Experience should come from both
residential and commercial markets.
Qualified candidates may also be considered for management positions within this division. These
candidates should be capable of evaluating, developing and managing personnel along with
participating in our overall expansion initiatives. Experience in managing crews and handling volume
accounts is a must. Moreover, these positions will require candidates that are well-rounded in all
phases of land surveying, possess superior knowledge of engineering principles and practices, have
well-developed time management capabilities and leadership skills. The ability to clearly
communicate verbally and in written form, to be comfortable in public forums, and to think
critically and creatively, is essential. It is crucial that you be able to establish and maintain
effective interpersonal relationships with co-workers and with the public, and to consistently
demonstrate a high degree of initiative, integrity and good judgment. This candidate will also be
responsible for the continuing education and development of field personnel and preparing them for
the Surveyor In Training (SIT) and RPLS Examinations
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Experience
* Candidates should have extensive backgrounds in residential land title surveys
* Candidates should be capable of performing boundary surveys
* Candidates should be capable of performing topographic surveys
* Candidates should be capable of authoring metes and bounds descriptions
* Candidates should be capable of preparing subdivision maps, parcel maps and lot line adjustments
* Candidates should be proficient in performing all surveying-related calculations
* Candidates should be knowledgeable in computer aided drafting (CAD)
* Candidates should have experience with construction surveying and staking
* Candidates should be skilled with preparing proposals and providing clients with pricing
estimates
* Candidates must be proficient with the use of electronic total stations and data collectors
Preferred Experience
* Candidates ideally would have experience with TxDOT and municipality survey requirements
* Candidates ideally would have extensive experience in commercial surveying
* Candidates ideally would have right-of-way experience
* Candidates ideally would have GPS/GIS experience
* Candidates ideally would have experience with robotic total stations and advanced field equipment
