Director of Transportation and Public Works Department

Employer: City of Fort Worth
Salary: $100K's - $120K's Per Annum

Job Description: This position will manage a staff of 400 full-time employees whose responsibilities
include street maintenance, drainage systems, streetlights, traffic signals, and building
maintenance. Focus will be on transportation issues. In addition, the Director will serve as a
primary public contact point for the news media, consulting engineers, public officials, and
agencies.

Minimum Qualifications: Requires eight (8) years of management experience involving transportation
and public works including four (4) years of administrative and supervisory experience. Must possess
registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Texas or the ability to obtain registration
within six (6) months of the appointment. A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction
Management, Public Administration, or similar fields is needed. A master's degree is preferred.
