Description: Black Oak Technology Solutions is looking for a unique individual to fill a full-time position with one of our growing customers. This South Jersey firm is actively seeking a Senior Programmer Analyst/Development Manager specializing in applications written in C++ and Java in the AIX environment. Must work well independently or in a team environment and have good communication skills.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Senior person in C++ and Java, will play a major roll in the full life cycle development process including analysis, design, development, and roll out of enterprise-wide business solutions.
Must have a proven track record in integrating solutions in AIX platform, and should possess a basic understanding of security technologies or packages (Digital Certificate, Secure Socket Layer, etc.)
Possess expert knowledge database modeling and SQL skills set.
Provide code documentation along with problem resolution, disaster recovery roll-back processes.
Ensure the resolution of problems related to current AIX applications in conjunction with AIX Administrator.
Additional responsibilities may include participation in client requirements gathering.
DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
a)Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or closely related field; and
b)Eight years experience in programming using C++; at least 3 years in Java and J2EE
c)Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Necessary Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
a) Candidate should have at least five years experience with the AIX technology, and must be familiar in the architecture, design, and development using the following technologies:
• C++
• Java and J2EE
• AIX
• Korn Shell Scripting
• Informix RDBMS
• SQL
b) Must have the ability to interact positively and effectively with employees at all levels within the organizations, as well as customers, prospects, and vendors.
c) Ability to demonstrate team leadership and project management skills.
d) Capable of communicating effectively orally and in writing.
Desirable Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
• WebSphere Application Server
• WebSphere Commerce Suite
• Visual Basic
• Cold Fusion
• Microsoft Access
• Microsoft SQL Server RDBMS
• Perl
