DESCRIPTION
Currently recruiting Regional Business Development Managers for our client (a major consulting firm with offices worldwide - non Big 5) with strong Sales/New Business Development experience selling IT Services and Solutions to Telecom companies. Candidates must have a strong consulting background preferably with a Big 5 or large consulting firm and experience selling IT Services and Solutions to large Telecom/Communications companies.
The Regional Business Development Manager will ensure their region receive sufficient support and attention, that the optimum set of offerings and solutions are taken to that market, and will manage the business development process.
Key Tasks
· Achieving the orders target set for the region
· Managing and reporting sales pipeline
· Improving and maintaining good relationships with the local subsidiary contacts
· Ensure (the client) is marketed in the region through the appropriate channels
· Selling a previously unsold offering into the region
· Ensuring account plan is created and implemented to achieve follow-on sales targets
· Achieving an account sale in the order of US$ 5-10 Million in the Financial Year
· Working as a team member to capture, formalize and disseminate best practices
· Help shape the strategy and ensure they continue to grow ahead of market averages
· Presentations at industry events / Telecoms articles.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Requirements
· Minimum 8 years IT experience
· Minimum 4 years Telecommunications business development experience
· Ability to understand client requirements and react accordingly, as well as setting and managing client expectations
· Proven commercial orientation, demonstrated by extensive network, proven track record of taking initiative and achieving targets
· Ability to drive, co-ordinate, and lead the achievement of results across boundaries and functions
· Having a sense of urgency balanced by high quality delivery.
· Strong leadership - C-Level contacts
· Ability to follow, and indeed, predict market developments
· Proven ability to spot and act on both opportunities and threats
· Ability to learn in new and rapidly developing market areas
· Excellent communication skills (presenting, listening, negotiating, convincing, influencing) and report writing skills
· Ability to coach and advise to suit the situation
· Frequent but primarily regional travel
Opportunities are available in the DC/Mid-Atlantic region, Northeast Region
(Philadelphia/New Jersey or even Boston), Dallas, TX, Denver, CO, San Francisco, CA, and Seattle, WA.
