The Broadcast Department is seeking an individual to fill the role of
Broadcast Systems Support. This new position will report to the Technical
Manager, Broadcast Department and will be responsible for support of all
Woodbine Entertainment Broadcast Department computer systems, including
hardware and software setup and maintenance for on-screen data and character
generator systems including RaceView, Infotext and Pinnacle Deko CG, Iris
Technologies Video Commander routing systems, Leitch and ForA digital video
systems, Avid NLE systems, Adobe graphics and animation products running on
MacIntosh-based systems, and other assorted computerized broadcasting,
office and networking systems.
You have thorough knowledge of all Microsoft and Apple operating systems and
networking protocols and complete familiarity with the aforementioned
computerized broadcast systems as well as Chyron, Inscriber, and Matrox
products. You are a self-starter with strong verbal communication and
organizational skills as well as a proven ability to work both alone and as
a team member in a fast-paced, high pressure environment. Transportation is
a necessity.
This is a full-time salaried position. Some travel is required. The hours
of work will vary with the schedule, which includes evenings, weekends, and
holidays. Some shift work is required.
