I do not know if anyone is on this newsgroup looking to hire, but if you are
please take the time to read on:

Hello, my name is Christopher Donaldson and I am very eager to work in
any capacity that my skills will allow. I am highly motivated and adept at
my trade. My references include the former Director of IT for ATS (the
world's leading factory automation integrator), a 20+ year veteran of Bell,
and a Medical doctor. These people can attest to my dedication,
professionalism and competency. I am currently unemployed and have not
heard anything more then automated replies to my job searches. I have had
one exception: McDonalds. I am looking to work anywhere in the
Kitchener-Waterloo, Guelph, Cambridge and Hamilton area. If you can beat 12k
a year and are interested in hiring someone who really wants to work, and is
pretty darn good at their job please contact me @ 519-249-9474 24/7. If you
would like to see my resume, it is below this "cover letter".

I operated in many different capacities during my last term of
employment, foremost was the administration and support of the companies
network systems. My skills range from MS DOS through to Windows XP
Professional, MAC and a smattering of UNIX. I have applied my knowledge of
these Operating systems, and numerous Software programs to working directly
with customers in both hands-on, and telephone support roles. I believe that
I am cable of maintaining high standards of customer relations and ensuring
that I do so in a efficient, courteous and cheerful manner.

One should note that the majority of my professional experience is in
the telecommunications industry, my work involved a great deal of
responsibility, both self and team management skills. I have a solid
understanding of Office Software and event documentation procedures.

I have worked in the IT/IS industry for past two years in a
challenging, multi-faceted role directly beneath the present Vice-President
of Operations. I have been actively involved in many different aspects of my
company's growth, and so believe that I have gained a much broader skill set
to date, then I could have ever hoped for upon entering this profession.

During the past few months I have unfortunately been unemployed, but
have kept active and update with current market, and technological trends
through Part Time consulting work in both residential and corporate
environments.

While I have focused on many other technical roles my core competency
is that of network and computer support / development. I have made many
successful recommendations to improve every aspect of the internal /
external communication systems. I have designed low cost effective network
solutions to increase efficiency, productivity, and service levels. In
aspects of both internal and external client care, I have a broad base of
knowledge inclusive of Sales Engineering; Project managing, and Outside
Plant development. I worked in an environment that was "do or die", I learnt
by the seat of my pants and worked very hard to make sure that the job
completed was of the highest calibre.

I have setup, and securely configured MS IIS and MS Exchange servers,
worked with small updates to webpages, and managed the creation/migration of
domains. The range of technologies, processes and programs that I have been
able to learn and work with has been challenging, but very rewarding. My
initial work in this field started with building "white-box" PC's,
troubleshooting and training customers to use their homes. I still keep an
active hand in the PC industry building and supporting PC's as a regular
part of my current job. As a compliment to this, my last job also included
the design, installation, and support of the buildings voice and data-wiring
infrastructure.
