CLIMATE CONTROL / THERMOSTAT DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT

My client is looking for a creative, innovative Engineer. A position offering numerous benefits, For

Responsibilities include:
* Design hardware from concept to production for the Thermostat Platform
* Work with internal and external customers in defining new products, generating proposals, and
developing product specifications and requirements
* Translate product specifications and requirements into a detailed design and generate test
requirements
* Analyze design (theoretical) and verify with structured development testing
* Design integrity, robustness and safety into all products
* Work closely with software and packaging engineers
* Ensure that empirical/cut-and-try methods are abandoned and analytical/structure test techniques
are used.
* Cover New Product development (75%), sustaining (20%) and cost reduction/quality improvements
(5%).
Requirements include:
* A motivated, self directed individual, extensive experience in quality and safety.
* An effective communicator - ability to listen to end customer needs, offer best methods and
translate to proposals/ specifications
* Team player
* Must possess strong technical hardware and analytical skills
* Must be a detail/quality oriented person
* Prior thermostat design experience is a must
* Previous cradle to grave product design experience with end consumer products
* Thorough understanding of analysis techniques and ensuring/proving design quality/robustness
* Understand industry and agency standards, design methodologies, techniques, trends and "domain
knowledge" specific to thermostats
* Understand and design for the target manufacturing process
* BSEE - w/5 years min experience
* Previous agency/regulatory experience

Salary: $75K
