Battelle, a world leader in contact research and professional services, has an opportunity for a
Chief Engineer at our headquarters in Columbus, OH.

Requires M.S. in an engineering field, 15 years background and exp. in specifications, design,
fabrication, integration and testing of complex hardware and software systems; excellent technical
skills in mechanical or electrical engineering field, ability to manage across multiple technology
areas (i.e. mechanical, electrical and software engineering, polymer science, instrumentation);
excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with large teams,
experience and capability to organize, plan, conduct and complete projects on time and within funds;
willingness to travel; excellent computer skills; ability to quickly become knowledgeable of
Battelle operations and capabilities; presently hold a Top Secret SBI clearance, and willingness and
ability to obtain additional clearances as needed. Applicant selected will be subject to a govt.
security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Responsibilities include working with task leaders, engineers, designers and technicians; generating
correspondence, reports and other written documentation; solving difficult hardware-oriented
technical problems from concept through installation; providing leadership in technical field for
both staffing projects and fostering staff growth, as well as managing Internal R&D activities.
