Title: Technical Support Analyst / Network Specialist
Job Description:
- Seeking an experienced Network Analyst to be responsible for the
activities of LAN, WAN, Communications Network and Client/Server
administration reporting to Computing and Network Operations Manager.
- Five years performing administrative functions in PC, mainframe and
communications environments desired.
- Excellent understanding of equipment function (e.g. routers, bridges,
hubs, switches, PC’s, etc.) a must.
- Ability to design and maintain networks using Novell and NT needed.
- Must be competent diagnosing problems and supporting the maintenance
of hardware and software.
- BS degree in Computer Science, plus NCSE, MCP certifications
preferred.
- Will maintain configuration parameters, documentation, and technical
requirements essential to the function of corporate software, network
communications equipment and computer hardware.
- Will monitor system performance, including CPU, disk and network
activities.
- Will act as primary support for technical problem resolution.
- Will implement and support the installation of all computer hardware
and software, plus other equipment, including cabling.
- Will design networks and network enhancements.
- Will evaluate and recommend hardware and software.
