Description: As Business Analyst at Intrasphere is responsible for the successful gathering and organization of business requirements for the project and to ensure the project meets the business requirements.
Responsibilities include:
Collecting, understanding, and transmitting the business requirements for the project, and translating these into functional specifications and detailed test plans.
Partnering with clients to gather all requirements to formulate business specifications and translating those into application functionality, deciding when to advocate and when to compromise to arrive at a mutually acceptable solution
Documenting workflows and results of business analysis and obtaining sign-off from client on specifications
Assisting the technical team in translating application functionality into application architecture and the production of a System Functionality document
Communicating the business directives, goals, and needs to the technical team and serving as client interface from IST managing user expectations and client satisfaction
Designing and executing test plans to ensure that business requirements and functional specifications are tested and fulfilled
Understanding the long-term business objectives and suggesting technical strategies to meet those objectives; introducing innovation to business processes through technology
Assisting client in developing content or other materials; recommending enhancements and identifying new business requirements
Personal qualities: resourcefulness, responsibility, tenacity, independence, energy, and self-confidence, strong analytical skills, solid business judgment, creativity, and the ability to communicate effectively with executive management
Maintains current knowledge of new hardware and software and recommends upgrading to maintain efficient operation. Schedules and assigns work to programmers. Performs analysis of department production and redesigns workflow if appropriate.
Needs Demonstrated Experience in:
3+ years of business analysis experience as a consultant (Big 5 preferred).
Application of structured developmental methodology.
Preparing the necessary documentation.
Skills Required:
Strong client skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to juggle multiple tasks.
An understanding of the capabilities of relevant technologies (at a minimum: mvs/cobol/cics/db2,AS400/RPG, client server or web-based technical solutions).
Hands on development or testing experience a plus.
