Senior C++ Programmer candidates, (local NYC area candidates only, no

The selected Database Java Programmer / Database Senior C++ Programmer
candidate will be involved in developing new methods for application
programmers to access their data. This group is going to use Java and
web Application Servers to deploy their various databases in an
Object-Oriented Architecture and will assist in bridging the gap
between application developers and RDBMS systems to work on new
Java-based projects. This will include building the framework for
future application development and possibly be involved in building
some middleware products as well.
Qualified Java/Database Senior C++ Programmer candidates will have a
minimum of five years IT experience, ten or more years preferred, with
solid experience (three to five+ years) in Object-Oriented Design and
Development, specifically working with C++ frameworks and solid
experience with Java, EJB, and at least one Application Servers is
required, experience with JBoss (J2EE-compliant open source web
application server) is a real big plus. Must have solid experience in
database development: writing stored procedures, triggers, packages,
etc. with Oracle, Informix and/or DB2. Pluses include JSP and HTML
experience, as well as any middleware development experience. Other
requirements are excellent communication skills, experience developing
plans to migrate live databases between platforms and lead
others during these projects. Aggressive follow-up on project details
and ability to develop the "big picture" needed.
A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent is preferred - BA/BS Computer
Science, EE, Math. A Masters or a PhD is a big plus.
