Developer candidates for a six month "option to hire" independent
contract in Downtown, New York, NY. (No Relocation or travel expenses
available, no visa sponsorship available and no 3rd party referrals or

Job Description
· Consultant Position for 2002 with right to hire
· Developer for automated electronic trading systems within
Equity Derivatives Technology group
Responsibilities
· Will be working as a part of a team comprised of technologists
and quantitative traders to design and implement
state-of-the-art automated and electronic trading solutions
for the U.S.-based equity derivatives markets.
· Will have special responsibility for designing and
implementing various quantitative, numerical, and real-time
components written in C/C++.
· Will be responsible for development, testing and ensuring
production readiness of Listed Options Order Management
System prototype being developed
· Will be responsible to understand and enhance quantitative
aspect of MERLIN options real time risk system
· Will be responsible to carry out the future quantitative
development and deployment work proposed by Listed Options
business from functional specifications, working prototype or
high level description
· Specific projects may include:
o Real-time risk management
o Electronic order management and workflow automation
Educational Background
Advanced Degree in Science, Mathematics or Engineering
Essential Skills
· Excellent Programming Skills in C / C++ (Minimum of 2 years),
having worked in an industry, in finance (either Equity or
Debt securities) with strong Analytics experience in Listed
Options Electronic Trading
· Experience with medium / large software development projects
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Team based development experience
· Comfortable working pro actively and independently
Plusses
· Working experience with TCP/IP Socket programming.
· Experience working with Microsoft NT / 2000 environment
(Workstation and Server)
· Interest in mathematical finance or trading
· Academic course work in partial differential Equations

This long term opportunity offers an initial six month contact
offering an option to hire with a flexible starting rate in the $700
to $800 per day range, depending on experience. Your asking
