The selected Senior Application Developer / Senior Software Engineer -
Project Leader candidate will initiate and manage various development
projects in our client's News group. This person will aid the
application development team in designing, documenting, and
implementing major features of the news data display/delivery system.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the
'big picture', aggressive follow-up on project details, and instances
of delivering implementation on time.
Qualified Senior Software Engineer / Project Leader Developer will
have five+ years experience programming in UNIX/C and UNIX/C++.
Experience managing projects across multiple development teams.
Experience in real-time, client/server environment, with strong
knowledge of XML programming, IP Protocol (TCP - TCPIP and UDP) and
Inter-Process Communication (IPC). Experience working with news feeds
(Market Data News feeds a plus).
Helpful: HTML/XML API programming (DOM/SAX) experience, as well as
mentoring/team leadership skills. .
A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent is preferred - BA/BS Computer
Science, EE, Math. A Masters or a PhD is a big plus.

offered a starting salary range from $90,000 to $125,000+ per year
base salary based on experience with a possible $5,000 to $6,000
