The selected SAP R/3 Basis Specialist candidate will be responsible
for configuring, tuning, securing, and monitoring an enterprise
management system built upon SAP R/3, BW, APO, and EBP and be required
to perform the following tasks and duties: Command SAP Kernel and
BASIS, preferably through 4.6D, including SSAA, CCMS, and TMS;
Administer Authorizations, Roles and Profile Generator; Configure
Start, Default and Instance Profiles; Create and configure Central and
Dialog Instances; Configure Operation Modes for Job Scheduling and
Workload Balancing; Resize, monitor and update statistics of SAP
R/3 system in Oracle 8i database environment using DBA Planning
Calendar, SAPDBA and other SAP delivered tools; Create and configure
BW Info Cubes; Provide BAPI, EDI, ALE and External Interface support.
Qualified SAP R/3 Basis Specialist candidates will have five or more
years ERP experience with Supply Chain Management, Financial
Accounting, Sales and Distribution, or Warehouse Management. Must also
have 3 or more years SAP R/3, BW, APO, and EBP experience. Must be
proficient in UNIX (Solaris 8), TCP/IP, DNS, Oracle 8i, Net8 and LDAP.
Must have knowledge and practice with efficient client development and
transport strategy, and prior experience installing and configuring
R/3, BW, APO, EBP, ITS and LiveCache. Must also have experience with
ASAP methodology, Implementation Assistant, Q&Adb, ABAP, OpenSQL and
RFC.
A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent is preferred - BA/BS Computer
Science, BSEE, BS Math. A Masters or a PhD is a big plus.
