Job Description:
* Bachelors Degree in Geography or related technical discipline.
* Minimum of one (1) year GIS programming work experience with
proficiency in ESRI ArcInfo programming (AML or Visual Basic / C++
through ODE) and ArcView Avenue programming.
* Proficient in Microsoft Visual Basic or C++ development.
* Experience with RDBMS software and SQL. Microsoft SQL Server
knowledge is helpful but not required.
* Knowledge of Trimble GPS Processing and ActiveX software (e.g.,
Pathfinder Tools) is helpful but not required.
* Experience with ESRI ArcSDE and MapObjects is helpful but not
required.
* Highly organized and detail orientated.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
* Must be willing to work as a member of a team.
* Willingness to work varied hours whenever necessary to achieve the
desired results.
Job Requirements:
* Perform specific GIS programming tasks. Contribute to team
application development through data and application analysis,
design, integration, implementation, documentation, testing
evaluation and training.
* Develop application solutions that support vendor data model
integration in conjunction with internal and customer development
requirements.
* Develop automated mapping processes that support a variety of
vendor platforms.
* Develop a web-based geospatial product engine using commercially
available GIS and web tools.
* Collaborate with the Information Technology Group on common
software and hardware development.
* Contribute to other related projects and plans not specifically
noted necessary to obtain the objective of the GIS Development Group.
