in New York,NY.
Responsibilities:
Proven track record in network support and infrastructure design to support web based applications. The Systems and Network Architect will be worknig with clients to determine the infrastructure (server platform, network architecture, ISP, security, and monitoring tools) to support the implementation of web-based applications. Proven experience in network topology design, network protocols, diagnostic and performance tools, Unix (Solaris) 2.x system administration/engineering and Windows NT administration.
Ability to write and modify scripts in Perl, Ksh, Sh, etc. Candidate should have basic understanding of Unix Security and Firewalls. TCP/IP protocol tuning, router configuration, as well as web site management tools. Projects are run for the full life cycle of requirement definition through implementation of solutions and a balance of design and hands-on support is required.
Desired Requirements:
Heavy client interaction throughout the life of the project. Presentation and strong communication skills are essential. Strategic skills include consultative approach in walking clients through all phases of the project. Continuous focus on keeping abreast of new technologies, as well as demonstrated research and analysis skills.
