Job Description:
**Technician
BASIC FUNCTION: Responsible for day to day installation, maintenance
and provisioning of Digital Loop Carrier (DLC/SLC) equipment and
associated VF telephony services at customer premise location. Acts
as field support for central office 5ESS switch personnel in the
Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) environment.
KNOWLEDGE: A high school diploma or equivalent required. Individual
with 2-7 years work experience in the installation, testing and
maintenance of customer premise telecommunications equipment.
Technical school or equivalent military background with emphasis on
telecommunications may be substituted. AT&T/Lucent Subscriber Loop
Carrier (SLC) experience desirable but training and/or experience on
other Digital Loop Carrier (DLC) equipment or related field and/or
customer premise equipment experience will be considered.
Job Requirements:
**Technical Consultant (TC)
BASIC FUNCTION: Responsible to successfully manage the installation
of telephone and communications services based on orders provided
from the Account Executives. Accountable for providing technical
analysis for the sales application, assuring it meets customer
requirements, and translating and processing the order into a viable
and workable communications solution for the client
KNOWLEDGE: High school diploma or equivalent required. ASEE,
Technical schooling or equivalent education or work experience
required. Minimum of 5 years technical environment, specifically
dealing with implementation of communication services. Minimum of 2
years in a position requiring direct professional interfacing with
customers.
