The New York State Center for Advanced Thin Film Technology is seeking applicants for the position
of Equipment Evaluation and Support Specialist. This position will serve as a primary infrastructure
support person for the Center's scientific and technical staff.

Job responsibilities include: installation, maintenance and evaluation of prototype equipment and
tools; operation and use of semiconductor manufacturing equipment; troubleshooting and repairing
non-routine problems with commercial and prototype equipment; implementation of computerized data
acquisition systems; and organization and reporting of test results.

The position requires: an associates degree in electronics, computer science or related technology;
three to five years of directly relevant experience; a strong background in the physical sciences; a
working knowledge of vacuum systems, gas handling systems, and electronics; a demonstrated ability
to work in a high energy, team oriented environment; and excellent communication and analytical
skills.

The Center is a New York State sponsored high technology research and development center with a
$100M state-of-the-art infrastructure, including Class 1 cleanroom facilities for prototyping and
integration of integrated circuitry (IC) and MEMS technologies on 200 mm wafers. In addition, a new
facility that will house a 30,000 ft2 Class 1 cleanroom for 300 mm wafer pilot prototyping and
technology deployment is presently under construction.
