FUNCTION
The Senior Systems Integration Analyst provides R/3 and Business Warehouse
(BW) software expertise. Effectively transfers R/3 and BW design and configuration knowledge to both SAP Process Team Leads and other data warehouse team members. Provides Best Business Practices knowledge to aid the design process. Also acts as an advisor and aids the project team in
all tasks, as necessary. Supports end users by gathering reporting
requirements and building complex queries and workbooks. Supports
management cockpit reporting.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES
Analysis, SAP mapping, end user training, user direction/encouragement/follow-up/support, technical bridging, report and query generation guidance and SAP co-ordination, interfacing and integration.
Work with business users to understand, analyze and document
their reporting needs.
Work with the end-users and technical resources to help
define/redefine business requirements.
Provide training and familiarization to business users for BEX analyzer, and future additional front-end tools.
Provide support and guidance in the use of the Business Warehouse
as an Executive Information System tool.
Provide second line support to 'power' users as they perform
'expert led training' with their project teams.
Be available to end users as SAP/MIS liaison for ongoing
development efforts.
Actively identify opportunities for process re-engineering and
problem solving for Business Data issues.
Actively research, identify and share potential information
sources regarding SAP/BW and other Business Decision Support issues.
Provide gap analysis (both identification and solution) for
Business Requirements issues that might affect the End-User.
Recommend included SAP standard/custom cube content modifications to meet requirements
Analyze R/3 data and design/modify cubes so that all necessary
information is included
QA Balancing/Monitoring OLTP(SAP) to BW(DW) data and Data
Analysis/Investigation
Develop BW Queries and provide user support SAP Support/Liaison/Coordination
RELATIONSHIPS
Works with End-Users to understand business processes
requirements.
Collaborates with other BW team members to deliver solutions.
Works with SAP R/3 functional team to understand technical
business processes to facilitate in report and query design.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
The successful candidate Must have:
3-5+ years of business process (Finance, Supply Chain)
background, knowledge and experience.
2+ years of SAP R/3 or new dimension product application
knowledge in the assigned SAP business process area(FI, APO), gathering and documenting business requirements and implementing solutions. Participated in at least 1 full SAP (PP, APO, or FI/CO) implementation.
Direct experience in the SAP Business Warehouse Environment - 1
implementation. Specifically Building Queries, Web Reports, Complex Workbooks. Prior R/3 Configuration / Implementation Experience in the assigned business process area. Thorough Knowledge of the SAP Data Dictionary tables and their
relationships within the assigned business process area.
The ability to solve a company's business requirement through a
Data Warehouse solution.
Some experience with ABAP, data investigation, mapping, design,
development, testing of conversion programs, interface programs, ABAP
custom reports, or ABAP User-Exit Development.
Some prior Data Warehouse/Reporting experience. Preference is for BW implementation experience or formal BW Training.
Strong PC (MSOffice), Analytical/Troubleshooting,
Oral/Written/Business skills
Desire to be self-managed, motivated and Team and Customer
oriented.
College Degree, Preferable a Masters in Business Administration
and/or Finance.
Other "Desirables"
Experience in SHARP's or other Consumer/Business Electronics
industry
Project Planning, Task Management, and/or Systems Development
Life cycle knowledge and/or experience.
Visual Basic Development Experience.
Experience in 4G/L object oriented languages and an understanding
of development, file extraction and data modeling tools and methods. Detailed knowledge of customer's current business processes, existing legacy systems or interface systems. Knowledge and ability to work with Java and HTML.
