Position Purpose:
Technical lead role in the analysis, design, specification and implementation of the User Analysis, Data modeling, ETL phases of custom data warehousing solutions using the Informatica 5.x and 6.x suite of tools.
Essential Functions and Basic Duties:
Assist with user analysis and user prototype sessions. Design data models based on collected user requirements using ERWIN. Write precise ETL specifications from the Source Systems to the Mart through Initial staging and Target staging tables including one time and daily processing. Design and implement ETL strategies and solutions. Assist in designing test plans for ETL sessions and maps. Retrofit new requirements into existing Maps. Provide knowledge transfer and mentoring to the client's staff and DoubleStar Support Staff. Good communication skills required.
Technical Skills:
Minimum of two years detailed experience using Informatica Power Center 5.x+ in all aspects of ETL design, specification and implementation; excellent Unix skills; Strong SQL and SQL plus skills within Oracle; Minimum 2 years strong data modeling using Erwin. Strong data warehousing design experience using dimensional modeling techniques.
Experience in Cognos Impromptu, Power Play and ReportNet is desired.
Individual needs to work independently, have excellent technical and professional client interaction skills for all phases of the project life cycle.
Position Location: Philadelphia and All of New Jersey
Travel: Willingness to travel 20%-70% to various locations
