Position: Systems Engineer – Full Time
Essential Job Functions:
The System Engineer is responsible for administering applications on a daily basis including process changes and security rights. Maintenance and support of the CRM application is the primary responsibility of this position although you will participate in all phases of the client application development cycle. Occasional interfacing with customers during requirements clarification and remote support issues will be required.
Essential Responsibilities:
· Answering the support line and providing first tier support and troubleshooting
· Logging and escalating issues
· Implement phased rollouts of CRM software.
· Coordinate with business units and or departments to troubleshoot problems, set guidelines, test new CRM application releases and support functionality.
· Perform daily administrative tasks for user support.
· Assist in CRM application server setup, server software upgrades
· Monitor CRM system on a daily basis to identify problems or potential problems. This includes monitoring network and servers; data transfers; backups and system and business processes.
· Participates as needed in special department projects.
· Additional duties as assigned by manager.
Knowledge and Skills:
· A minimum of 1 to 3 years supporting enterprise applications.
· A thorough understanding of Windows NT or Windows 2000 registries and security administration.
· Experience with SQL Server database management systems.
· Experience with IIS, IBM MQ Series, Sybase, and Sterling Connect: Direct helpful
· Strong verbal communication skills and an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms.
· Experience in any of the following is a plus:
o Call Center environment
o Development Background
Type of Position: Full-time
Shifts: Incurrent runs a 24X7X365 support operation. Current shifts, 9 hours with 1 hour lunch break, are 8:00am – 5:00pm, 4::00pm – 1:00am, 12:00am – 9:00am. A new schedule will be introduced shortly based on a 12-½ hour shift.
During the initial training period, you will work the day shift 9:00am – 5:00pm eventually being shifted into rotation.
