Description: Description: This is a staff position within the BSS/OSS Development Team reporting to the Manager, Trouble Management Systems. The individual will collaborate with product teams, operations personnel, product managers, and strategic partners to define Business Support Systems (BSS) requirements for the Rational Tool Suite. Major duties: · Will be responsible for all server-related operation, administration and monitoring, as well acting as a knowledgeable Rational resource for the user community. · Assist with the deployment of new applications and releases. · Monitor server performance · Maintaining user accounts · Perform all administrative duties for the entire Rational Tool Suite. · Report Development within Clear Quest, Clear Case and Test Manager · Schedule & complete all changes and enhancements that are requested

Qualifications / skills include:
· BS in Computer Science / Engineering, or equivalent work experience in software systems design
· At least 1 years experience in software development with architectural experience and responsibilities.
· Experience delivering medium to large-scale distributed applications into production, and an excellent understanding of the issues involved
· Creative, self-motivated team player willing to take the lead to develop cutting-edge e-business solutions
· Clear and effective verbal and written communications skills
· Strong interpersonal skills; capable of writing recommendations, RFP’s, and interacting with company personnel on complex topics; make presentations to an internal audience and interacting positively with senior management.
· Must have strong, independent problem solving skills; must be self-directed.
· Strong working knowledge of the following technologies / products / methodologies:
- Rational Tool Suite
- Unix
- Relational databases (i.e. Oracle, Sybase)
- Windows, Linux, and Solaris application development experience
- Application performance tuning experience
- TCP/IP and networking technologies and protocols
- Security principles (SSL, SET, etc), and use of firewalls, digital signatures, and certificates
