In this position you will have the opportunity to substantially contribute to the
development of the next generation of Compuware NuMega's award-winning advanced
debugging tool, SoftICE. Work with a small, talented team of engineers to design, implement
and extend components that operate in single or multiple heterogeneous machine
environments; building a simple, clean architecture that isolates operating system

including existing and emerging 64-bit platforms, supporting multiple operating systems.
This is your opportunity to work with a team recognized as leaders in their
industry.

Requirements include:

Kernel-level experience in Windows NT
A thorough understanding of the fundamentals of machine architecture,
including microprocessors, internal and external buses, and I/O devices
Strong C++ skills, including a good comfort level with templates and STL
Familiarity with object-oriented design principles and methodologies,
including UML
Fundamental knowledge of COM internals, and experience designing and
implementing moderately large COM-based distributed applications
System level programming experience on Windows NT/2000, including
multithreaded applications, synchronization objects, and system services
Experience using advanced debugging tools
Familiarity with parser generators such as lex/yacc preferred
Basic understanding of network communications and wire protocols in
heterogeneous machine environments preferred
Industry experience writing 64-bit software or writing software tools
preferred
Assembly language experience (x86, IA64, or Alpha) desired

At Compuware's NuMega Lab you will find technically challenging work in an
