We are searching for an outstanding Design Architect Engineer to join our architectural services team. As a Design Architect Engineer you will be responsible for:
- Working with Pella sales branches on design and structural requirements for project-specific window and door installation systems.
- Conducting window and door application analysis including evaluating product performance relative to architectural plans and specs, and codes and standards.
- Providing technical expertise to external stakeholders and customers (sales personnel, architects, design engineers, and end-use customers) and to Pella engineers.
- Supporting corporate sales efforts for key accounts, national accounts, and international accounts.
- Managing a staff of approximately 10 drafters which includes reviewing work, evaluations, coaching, and performance metrics.
- Content development for CAD software.
- Visiting customer sites during initial window and / or door installations to ensure performance to requirements.
Our ideal candidate will bring this combination of education, experience, and qualifications to Pella:
- Four-year degree in Architectural Engineering, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or Architecture.
- Background in higher-end residential or light commercial / institutional construction.
- 2-4 years of architectural or engineering experience in an architectural or construction firm.
- Strong interpersonal and team skills.
- Ability to work well with customers and stakeholders and with internal departments.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Capable of communicating your work in AutoCad 14 or AutoCad 2000.
- Successful project management experience.
- Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical personnel utilizing oral, written, and technical communication methods.
- Self motivated.
- Customer focused.
- Ability to evaluate and analyze issues, make decisions, and implement solutions.
