1) Cassandra Data Modeler
Location: Miami, FL
Start: ASAP
Duration : 6 months with good chance of extension
Logistics: On site Mon-Fri
Summary: They're looking for a blended set of skill sets. Ideally, they'd like a full stack developer with a focus in data modeling. Someone who can build apps from the ground up and lay out data models. Their data warehouse is in Cassandra, and all source data is in Oracle. They also run Java SPRING.
Requirements:
Deep knowledge and experience with the Cassandra, related software tools, and performance optimization
Experience with Oracle database and with Java SPRING. Angular is also a nice-to-have.
Data modeling, including reverse and forward engineering.
Data warehousing, reporting and business intelligence
Experience with data-driven business
Breadth and depth of skill to build and deliver scalable data and reporting solutions
Experience working in a large enterprise environment
2) Java Developers
Visa: open
Location: Chicago
Duration: 1 year
Position Duties:
• Collaborate with a team of application specialists supporting our client’s enterprise applications.
• Develop and unit test web services.
• Ability to develop using http-based web applications
• Recent experience interpreting UML and User Story based use cases to drive development
• Ability to translate business requirements into code in compliance with defined development standards including all code documentation.
• Hands-on experience using Eclipse / Visual Studio or other integrated development environment platform
• Resolve defects in a timely manner (including unit testing)
• Active participation in performance tuning across both application and network tiers
• Assess and triage issues. Escalating issues to management as appropriate.
• Organize and prioritize work, be proactive, take initiative, resolve problems, follow through, and simultaneously manage multiple priorities to ensure goals are met in a timely manner.
• Participate in cross training and knowledge sharing of best practices within and outside of the team.
• Rapidly learn new applications and technologies as new systems are added to Client scope.
• Promote team work and effective communication. Foster mutually beneficial working relationships with all CAI and client team members.
• Deliver defect-free programs that are compliant with industry and application best practices.
• Analyze periodic vendor released application upgrades, utilizing application server technologies, such as JBoss.
• Define and execute system tests.
• Perform documentation and participate in code review sessions.
• Maintain system documentation.
Special Requirements:
Job duties during the five years of the required experience must have included RESTFUL Web Services and Jboss Application Server.
Additionally 6 years of technical knowledge is needed working with technologies/languages: Java, JavaScript, AngularJS, Eclipse, UML, and SQL.
