Qualifications
8+ years experience in database development, administration and support in MS SQL Server environments. Exposure to Oracle 8i a plus.
Healthcare industry experience and Meditech Data Repository development experience a plus.
Exposure to Orion Rhapsody Integration engine a plus.
Strong knowledge of backups, restores, recovery models, database shrink operations, DBCC commands, Clustering, Database mirroring, Replication.
Ensure all database servers are backed up in a way that meets the business's Recovery Point Objectives (RPO).
Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, replication issues, log shipping issues, connectivity issues, security issues, Query Performance Tuning & Optimization using Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler and other related monitoring and troubleshooting tools. Troubleshoot SQL Server service outages as they occur, including after-hours and weekends.
Configure SQL Server monitoring utilities to minimize false alarms. Install and configure new SQL Servers.
Experience with Service Broker, Analysis Services, Integration Services, or Reporting Services. Work on multiple projects to provide adequate and proactive support for various business initiatives and applications. Document the company's database environment. Healthcare industry experience and Meditech Data Repository development experience a plus. Exposure to Orion Rhapsody Integration engine a plus.
