As part of an internal team that will be working in partnership with internal and external teams using the latest tools and technologies, you will be responsible for management of a large scale Oracle8i implementation in support of a highly interactive commerce site. Qualities of the ideal candidate include creativity, task-orientation, affinity for working in small teams, and a love of music. In addition, you will provide PL/SQL support and data structure expertise to the development staff.
Experience required in:
Installing and managing Web-based database solutions;
An understanding of complex query creation, optimization, replication, schema design, problem resolution, performance tuning, backup/recovery and systems management of large-scale, Solaris-based Oracle implementations;
Proficiency with PL/SQL, triggers and stored procedures;
DBA experience (3+ years) and 1+ years experience with Oracle 8x in a Sun Solaris environment.
Knowledge of XML and Java is a plus.
