Quality Assurance Manager
This position will report on team metrics and remain focused on the
goal of continuous improvement. The Quality Assurance Manager must be
experienced at directing others and personally developing test
strategies, test plans, test cases, test scripts, and related
documentation. The Quality Assurance Manager will be required to
participate in root-cause analysis of all defects discovered in the
production environment and to communicate related process improvement
initiatives. The success of this role will be measured by overall
client satisfaction with the release process and the quality of code
released into production.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate sharp attention to detail, as
well as a passion for understanding and delivering quality software.
Candidates must have five or more years of quality assurance
experience, two years of management experience, strong project
management and prioritization skills, and solid quantitative skills.
Previous experience measuring and reporting software quality metrics
to key stakeholders is necessary. A strong knowledge of generally
accepted quality engineering practices, excellent communication
(written and verbal), project management, and team-building skills are
also essential. Success in this role requires the ability to juggle
many tasks while continually focusing on improving efficiency. The
Quality Assurance Manager must have a good technical understanding of
operating systems, browser versions, and test automation software.
Some programming experience and knowledge of the financial/investment
industry is desirable. A bachelor`s degree in computer science, MIS,
or a related field is preferred; an advanced degree is a plus.
