Position: Technical Writer position
Location: San Jose, CA(Need locals only, F2F interview mandatory )
Duration: 9+ months


Description
Description: Write technical content, such as user guides, release notes, training manuals, and internal communications. Gather and research information for use in technical documentation. 7 years of experience are required.

Responsibilities:

* Acquire and organize basic source material for transformation and synthesis into documentation that meets a high standard for accuracy and readability.
* Write procedure-based documentation to encourage the use of automation.
* Communicate new features and innovations accurately and succinctly.
* Work with Development, and Product/Project Management to ensure appropriate creation and timely deliverables to coincide with software product releases.
* Work cooperatively with other technical writing staff to ensure appropriate coverage of several kinds of product releases.
* Continually seek to improve existing documentation processes and content.
* Maintain a high level of knowledge in the field of technical publications.
* Achieve a high degree of product knowledge in order to produce quality materials.
* Seek to provide innovation for the packaging and delivery of technical publications.
* Follow corporate style guides to ensure a consistent look and feel for publications.

Requirements:

* Significant experience writing technical publications in an Agile environment for a technical audience.
* Experience with professional technical writing tools.
* Experience with ITIL procedure documentation a plus.
* Experience writing API guides, and working in command-line environments.
* Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Familiarity data centers a plus.
* Significant experience in working with extremely complex technical solutions.
* Desired experience includes familiarity with contact-center software, telecommunications technology and standards, network-based solutions, or other highly technical systems.
* OpenStack experience strongly preferred
* DevOps & SDLC Process Documentation Experience
