AOL Web Broswer problem

I am running AOL 8.0

I have Windows XP

I am connected with Cox Cable Modem

My web browser (IE) that is integrated into the AOL software

will not get onto the web....

but i can surf through the IE built into Windows, and I can sign on to AOL

via my TCPIP cable modem connection and use all of its functions...

any ideas ?
